I imagine the amount of time it took for me to slam my fingers on my keyboard a couple of times to create the previous sentence of gobbeldyguke is the same amount of time it took for the BK test kitchens to come up with the new BBQ Bacon King.
Much like the chain’s original Bacon King, this new version features two 1/4 lb flame-grilled beef patties, thick-cut smoked bacon, two slices of American cheese, ketchup, and mayonnaise on a sesame seed bun. But the only difference between the two is a generous squirting of BBQ sauce.
The barbecue-ified Bacon King has 1100 calories, 75 grams of fat, 29 grams of saturated fat, 3 grams of trans fat, 220 milligrams of cholesterol, 1850 milligrams of sodium, 51 grams of carbohydrates, 13 grams of sugar, and 57 grams of protein.

I tried it a few days ago. I like their BBQ sauce a lot and it makes for a pretty great burger. I got it without the mayo, so just the BBQ sauce. But it was one of the better burgers I’ve had in a long while.
I was just going to say, I think both mayo and barbecue sounds like a lot. I actually get my Whoppers without mayo, because they have enough toppings otherwise. Did they put the barbecue sauce where the ketchup is?
Yeah, it was just BBQ sauce. Comes with BBQ and Mayo, no ketchup. And I agree, the mayo would be excessive. I almost never get the mayo.
If it’s the same barbecue sauce that is used in the Rodeo Burger, then I think adding it to the Bacon King sounds pretty good. I’ll have to give it a try.
I ordered one because the picture on the menu board shows is with what loooks like pork BBQ on top. Big dissapointment. I won’t order that again.
