Ladies and gentleman, I’d like to welcome all of you to the Battle of the Lean Pockets, or otherwise known as the “Melee in the Microwave.â€
Now I’d like to introduce our gladiators.
In this corner, weighing in at nine ounces, packing seven grams of fat and 280 calories, known by his opponents as the Mexican Mercenary, here is the Three Cheese and Chicken Quesadilla Lean Pocket.
His opponent in the opposite corner, weighing in at eight ounces, packing six grams of fat and 200 calories, his nickname is the Italian Stallion, here is the Supreme Pizza Ultra Lean Pocket.
If you’re a regular Impulsive Buy reader, you can probably guess that we’re having another product election today. I’ve been sitting on these Lean Pockets boxes for the past month and I’d like to get rid of them, but I don’t want to review both of them. So I’m going to let you folks decide which one I’m going to review.
To vote, just leave a comment for this post with your choice, either the Three Cheese and Chicken Quesadilla Lean Pocket or the Supreme Pizza Ultra Lean Pocket.
I’ll be accepting votes until Friday. On Monday, I’ll post a review of the winning Lean Hot Pocket.
So let’s get ready to rumble.
Alright, I always seem to pick the loser, so I’ll try reverse psychology this time: Supreme Pizza Ultra. Woo!
Pizza pizza pizza!!!!
hmmm… going to be different and vote for the Mexican Mercenary… but the Italian Stallion does sound VERY tempting (but that could be because I have a thing for Italians… and horses…)
The Quesadilla because that sounds more appetizing… and you’ve tortured yourself enough with some of the other foods. 🙂
Gotta go with the quesadilla. An “Ultra!” lean product puts bad thoughts in my head.
I vote for the Mexican Mercenary.
chicken!!!
I love it when you include me Marvo! Three Cheese and Chicken Quesadilla Lean Pocket!!!
Chicken Quesadilla! The Mex-Merch will be victorious!
Chicken cheese thingy
Quesadilla! Quesadilla! Quesadilla! … is good enough for me and you!
Pizza!
What kind of calories are these things packing??
Well, I’ve had the quesadilla one (and it’s… adequate) so I vote for pizza. And please stop sitting on the boxes, cuz your butt is going to freeze.
Your food reviews always end up with you eating something else either to cap off your hunger or remove the taste of the other product from your mouth… why can’t you do them both, together? Then you can throw BOTH boxes away in a HandySak! 😉
cursing mama – 280 calories for the chicken quesadilla and 200 for the supreme pizza
Mir – Actually, those two boxes are in a HandySak. Are you spying on me?
Three Cheese and Chicken Quesadilla
Cheesey Chicken Baby!!! Were you inspired by the recent WWE show here in the middle of the Pacific the other night? I bet you were… uh, not that I follow big muscular men in tights or anything like that… uh… ok… ahem… go Mexican Mercenary!!!
In the immortal words of Jerri Blank:
“Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!”
Chicken! Chicken! Chicken!
who can argue with calories, 9 ounces and 7 grams of fat? mexican chicken has it…
Ole! Mex Mercenary gets this vote.
I’m quite fond of the chicken one myself, but haven’t had the pizza one, so I’m voting for the pizza, in the hopes of reading a Marvo review of something I’d like to try….
Long time reader, first time commenter here. Cheese and chicken almost always taste good. So, for a more INTERESTING review (insert evil laugh here), I’ve gotta vote for the Italian Stallion, the Prince of Pepperoni, the Mean Muthah from Milan… The Supreme Pizza Ultra Lean Pocket! (yay!)
Definitely review the quesedilla lean pockets. Who eats “ultra lean” freezer food anyways??
