Update: Click here to read our Chocolate Cheerios review.
I’ve always wondered when General Mills would come out with a Chocolate Cheerios. It just seemed inevitable since other non-kiddie cereals have gone over to the dark (chocolate) side, like Special K, Frosted Mini Wheats, Chex and Honey Bunches of Oats.
Come on Chocolate Covered Raisin Bran!
Chocolate Cheerios are made with real cocoa, but while they maybe healthier than a bowl of Hershey’s Kisses in a bowl of milk, they’re only slightly better for you than Cocoa Puffs, Cocoa Pebbles or Count Chocula.
A 3/4 cup serving size contains 100 calories, 1 gram of fat, 170 milligrams of sodium, 23 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 9 grams of sugar and 1 gram of protein.
Who needs the Cheerios if you’ve got Nutella! Mmm. Nutella.
I totally and utterly agree with that. Nutella rules, cherrios drool. lol
OMG! If I ate this with chocolate milk I would be chocolate nirvana.
mmm nutella!
If i need a serious chocolate cereal craving i head on over to reese… because they have peanut butter! lol
I could eat these i think.. depends on if we get it in canada. I have to stop going to the states to get this stuff cause i am going to get fat with all the other crap i am buying! 🙂
Found these in the grocery store yesterday. Looking forward to trying them, as I am a big Cheerios fan, and a big chocolate fan as well.
These get a big thumbs up from me, exact same consistency as the banana nut variety, same ingredients as well (corn in place of oats) with a good overall chocolate flavor.
This makes me very happy…and I like your idea for a complete breakfast! 😉
I tried these last month. They’re yummy. I can’t wait to buy some. ^_^ As for the breakfast idea, that would seriously be a delicious looking picture. Maybe I’ll try that.
