The Wendy’s Bacon Portabella Melt isn’t new, but I believe the brioche bun is. Wendy’s sure has been busy with their buns. First, a pretzel bun and now a brioche bun. I hope the Swiss bread Zopf is next. (Spotted by Brad in Chicago)

You’re so lucky you live in Chicago, test bed for a few major fast food chains.
Salt Lake City gets a ton of test items too, as does Columbus, OH. Wendy’s used to test a crapload of stuff in Utah when I was in college including some really good chicken sandwiches, but they never made it. I don’t know about this one. I think Wendy’s has the least tasty beef burgers. They are always dry for me.
i wish they would just do a portabella melt without the meat or bacon. they are yummy and meaty enough on their own!
