Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.
Starbucks Limited Edition Dark Chocolate Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino is back! To be honest, I didn’t know this existed until I received this photo. Bad junk food reviewer! Bad! (Spotted by Ariana at Westside Market.)
Green Velvet? Can Duncan Hines just invent a new velvet cake color like that? Well, I guess so. If that’s the case, I look forward to blue velvet cake sometime next year. (Spotted by Jennifer at Brookshire’s.)
I’m really surprised (and disappointed) egg nog-flavored products aren’t as prevalent as pumpkin spice products. (Spotted by Kitty at Walgreens.)
I’m not going to lie, apple pie juice sounds quite awesome. Too bad stores here don’t carry that brand. I guess I’m going to have to stick a plate of apple pie à la mode into a blender. (Spotted by Richard at Walmart.)
3 Musketeers Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Minis are back! And this time I knew they existed before receiving this photo because we already reviewed them. (Spotted by Lindsay at Meijer.)
Thank you to all the photo contributors! If you’re out shopping and see an interesting new or limited edition product on the shelf, snap a picture of it, and send us an email (theimpulsivebuy@gmail.com) with where you found it and “Spotted” in the subject line. If you do so, you might see your picture in our next Spotted on Shelves post.
Snapple used to make a Snapple Pie – Apple Pie flavor. It was not good. The cinnamon in it made me think there was bits of crust in the juice.
Thats the point. … who wants a crustless apple pie… smh
Ooo, that Frappaccino sounds good… I’ll have to track that down!
I saw a blue velvet cake mix by Duff Goldman last time I was as Target. I’ll get a picture next time
Unrelated to this post: The Jack in the Box card successfully made it over the ocean and across the shores! I didn’t expect a spiffy card in addition to the gift card. It alone was worth entering for! (Though it would buy a whole lot less at Jack’s.)
Thanks again!
You’re welcome!
Found a mint version of those cream cookies, but unfortunately not the Egg Nog, but they will be mine.
Finally an addition to the “velvet” fad. Of course there are other colors…why couldn’t there be?
That velvet cake must be a pain in the ass — you’d have to clean the bowl/implements between mixing otherwise you’d end up with two layers of whatever color red and green make.
A friend of mine gave me a box of the Delish Egg Nog Cream Cookies. They were delicious for sure. I tried to find some at Walgreens but they were not there. Since they are egg nog creams, I suppose they are seasonal.
