Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.
I’m going to predict Duncan Hines will have Black Velvet for Halloween 2014. (Spotted by Richard at Walmart.)
I wonder how these will feel being brushed lightly up one’s chest, then neck, and then into the mouth of a lover. (Spotted by Richard at Walmart.)
Hey, these Ehrmann Mixim fat-free Greek yogurts are shaped like hearts. Surprise your girlfriend with a fridge full of them for the worst Valentine’s Day gift ever. (Spotted by Sylvia at Vons.)
CHICKEN! Who are you and what have you done with Jimmy Dean? (Spotted by Amanda at Kroger.)
These Hormel REV Meat Snack Mixes should’ve been called Carnivore Trail Mix. (Spotted by Amanda at Kroger.)

Re “black velvet” for Hallowe’en: not only are you almost certainly right, but there’s a brand called Duff Goldman (oh, Ace of Cakes, okay) that does Blue Suede. Target carries it.
I’ve made the red velvet half of Duncan Hines’ “holiday velvets” since it showed up at the 99 Cents Only, and it’s cake. I’m saving the green half for St. Patrick’s Day.
I’m going to give the meat snack mix a try just because it’s so weird.
I’m with ya! It looks like they’re in the jerky section, I’ll have to remember to look for them.
Yes, I was the one that saw them at Kroger. They were in the jerky section on the very BOTTOM SHELF. At first, I thought someone had just put the refrigerated wraps in the wrong place, but no – MEAT SNACKS!
Did you see this at a Kroger in TX? If you can let me know which Kroger store that’ll be great…thanks!
OHH I cant wait to try the Chorizo Chicken Sausage Links, they are only 3 points on weight watchers.
I have a strange feeling every cake that is colored will now be referred to as “Velvet.”
Right?!?! They had green velvet at Christmas. So weird.
I’m interested in those marshmallows.
Amanda: which Kroger did you see the Hormel Rev “Meat Snack?”
I want to pick some up. How much did they cost? Did you try them yet?
