It looks like I’ll be using a cookie sheet and an oven soon…and buying some A&W Root Beer and vanilla ice cream. (Spotted by Laura at Walmart.)

  1. Super odd that this would come out with chips ahoy releasing a version pretty soon. Wonder if root beer float will be the next big flavor across companies.

      1. Good eye — that’s pretty bizarre. I guess they’re supposed to represent the ice cream, so maybe they’re vanilla ice cream flavor (rather than standard white chocolate chips).

  4. Picked this up over the weekend and made the cookies yesterday. Not bad, does taste like a root beer float. Only available at Wal-mart though. Would I make them again. Probably not.

  5. I tried your a&w root beer frosting as was very disappointed it over powered the flavor of my cake.maybe on something like a cookie it would be good but I was disappointed..

  8. I tasted the Root Beer Float frosting and thought it was fantastic. I wish I could buy more. I didn’t see the cookie mix. I would like some more of the root beer frosting if I knew where I could get some. Love it!!!

  9. We love these cookies. I went to Walmart this morning and they were no longer on the shelf. I hope that doesn’t mean they will not be carrying them anymore. I tried several recipes but the mix is the best.
