SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 4/11/2014

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

TruMoo S'more Bar

It’s weird to see a new TruMoo product that’s not a vanilla-flavored milk with food dye in a plastic jug. (Spotted by Alex at Meijer.)

Hormel Compleats Good Mornings

Shelf-stable Hormel breakfast! Mmm…shelf stable eggs. (Spotted by Jamie at Walmart.)

Chi-Chi's Triple Play Breakfast Burritos

Chi-Chi's Egg, Bacon, Hash Brown & Cheese Breakfast Burritos

Chi-Chi's Egg & Sausage Breakfast Burritos

I just learned Chi-Chi’s is a Hormel brand, soooo…frozen-stable Hormel breakfast! (Spotted by Chibi at Food Lion.)

General Milss B-Fast

The name B-Fast is too long. Let’s just do what tech companies do and take out vowels so we end up with, B-Fst. (Spotted by Sylvia at Vons.)

  1. The B-Fast milk is shelf stable. It said “find it in the cereal aisle” EW! I think these will be discontinued shortly. Nobody wants to drink warm shelf stable milk

  2. Apparently it contains rice, oats, quinoa blended with water/non-fat milk and a bunch of other delicious sounding additives/chemicals. MmmMmm..

    1. i got those B-fast things for free at Vons. My brother loves them. takes them to work for afternoon snack. guess there’s a customer for every item.

  3. I may buy the Hormel Completes and more shelf stable milk to keep around for the next time we lose power for two or three days in the middle of winter.

I’ll certainly try one before I decide to store them to eat much later. I may want to buy them every week so hubby can have a substantial mid morning snack at work.

  4. I got a free B Fast with my Safeway app. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m assuming it’s similar to a SlimFast or Special K shake? I’m scared of the quinoa/oats/etc. but I will try to go into it with an open mind.

  5. B’Fast has been out for a couple years. I like them, but they’re expensive.
