SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Lay’s Kettle Cooked Wasabi Ginger Potato Chips

Lay's Kettle Cooked Wasabi Ginger Potato Chips

I expect an American sushi chef to crush these and then sprinkle them on top of a sushi roll, which will be called something like Snapping Dragon Ginger Roll. (Spotted by Ryan M at Haggen.)

  1. Had a sample of these at Cub Foods…let me just say they made me want to commit seppuku.

  2. “Sushi” here in Phoenix has chipotle cream sauce and fried onions, so wasabi-ginger chips crushed on top isn’t even a stretch.

  3. Hands down my favorite of the 4. I enjoy the wasabi taste and the ginger seems to compliment it very nicely.

  4. Definitely the best of the 4. It has the strongest flavor, tastes great, and is actually kind of unique in the world of mainstream potato chips.

  5. Used these last night to scoop up fresh salmon tartare… Worked out really well.

  6. Blech, it just doesn”t work. Potato just doesn’t go well with soy sauce and ginger.
