SPOTTED ON SHELVES – 8/22/2014

Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.

Ben & Jerry's Limited Batch Candy Bar Pie Ice Cream

Ben & Jerry’s Limited Batch Candy Bar Pie Ice Cream isn’t a new flavor. You could get human-packed servings when it was a Scoop Shop-exclusive flavor last year. But now it’s in machine-packed pints. (Spotted by Ryan at Walmart.)

Post Dutch Chocolate Goodness-To-Go

Post Tahitian Vanilla Goodness-To-Go

Post Mocha Goodness-To-Go

Breakfast/Anytime Shake? Might as well just call it “Anytime Shake” because the last time I checked, breakfast was also considered anytime. (Spotted by Marvo at Safeway.)

Blue Diamond Honey Nut-Thins Honey Mustard

I’m not going to lie. The name Nut-Thins makes me cringe a little. (Spotted by Garrison at ShopRite.)

Gold Emblem Snacks

Oh CVS! Trying to catch up with Walgreens and their vast line of snacks. (Spotted by Jenn at CVS.)

Elli Bananas Foster Quark

I wonder if the label was designed in Quark. BOOM! Graphic designer joke! (Spotted by Sylvia at Vons.)

  1. Quark rules! I grew up in Germany and this stuff (if they do it right) is amazing and can be mixed with anything! I can’t wait to hit up Safeway (Vons) and get some of this!

    1. I doubt it’s actually quark, because the goodness of quark rests in the fact that it’s made with unpasteurized milk, which isn’t sold in the United States.

    2. yes, quark does rule, pauly! i grew up in slovakia and we ate quark instead of yogurt. even in canada, you can get quark marketed as a baby yogurt. i found some quark at whole foods for $2 a small pack, but this stuff was $2.49 at vons, so i have yet to try it!!! icelandic skyr is delicious too and not so pricey.

  2. The Blue Diamond Pepper Jack Cheese Nut Thins are definitely NOT new… I’ve been buying (and loving) this flavor for over a year now.

  3. SOOOOOO SICK OF BEN-AND-JERRYS PUTTING PRETZELS AND/OR CARAMEL IN EVERY NEW FLAVOR

  4. I stopped buying Ben & Jerry’s after they were bought by UniLever and, as anticipated, the quality of their ice cream has plummeted greatly. The ice cream is now really gummy, flavorless, and jammed full of crappy mix-ins and extraneous ingredients. The label tells all.
