If a slice of bacon is roughly 1/16th of an inch and there are 63,360 inches in a mile (thanks WolframAlpha), then it would take 1,013,760 slices of bacon in order for Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger to truly reach a mile high in bacon.
Of course, the new burger has a fraction of a fraction of that.
The bacon Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s is using is their premium, thick-cut Applewood-smoked bacon and it sits on top of a charbroiled, 100 percent Black Angus beef patty, American cheese, red onions, tomato, lettuce, and mayonnaise. The burger is available with a 1/3- or 1/2-lb. patty, is served on a Fresh Baked Bun, and starts at $5.59.
