Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.
Hmmm…I wonder which one of these will be the least popular among children. (Spotted by Richard at Target.)
The Better Chip’s website tells me these are new. It also tells me they have a new beet-flavored chip. (Insert Dwight Schrute joke here). (Spotted by Dustin at Pete’s Fresh Market.)
Dammit! For a second, because of the orange, I thought it was pumpkin spice flavored. (Spotted by Christa at Krogers.)
It weird to see Ranch as a limited edition flavor, because it’s an always edition flavor with everything else. (Spotted by Lael at Buddy’s Gas Station.)

Why has the search, etc been moved to the left side of the screen. It was much better on the right. I’m now having troubles viewing this page on my Phone because of it.
Question: Does the site turn into the mobile version on your phone? If it does, the sidebar should be at the bottom. Can you describe what kind of troubles you’re having?
I’m on an old iphone (iOS 6 rules!) and the new format causes trouble for me, too. Just won’t load properly if in landscape view position, tries forever but doesn’t get past a few items and keeps going in and out of displaying pics. Fortunately, rotating to portrait view works. It also must force me into mobile view, I don’t see a lot of stuff on the side that used to be there (especially links) but maybe they really did vanish with the new format.
If you’re viewing it on an iPhone, the stuff that in the sidebar gets shifted to the bottom. I’ve been viewing the site on an iPhone 4 with iOS 7 and the site loads fine. How old of a phone do you have?
Only the left side of the page was loading. I used the Mobile version then switched to desktop. And I was able to see the full page but wasn’t able to scroll or click on anything.
Are the donuts orange or that garbage orange cream flavor?
I don’t see ranch in those ranch bites?!?
It’s in there… but these things are gross as hell. The worst consistency I’ve ever experienced in a food. It’s like eating something that was half eaten and then deep fried. You get lumpy chicken, firm mozzarella, bacon bits and crispy breading all in one bite.
In grocery stores here in Atlanta, Krispy Kreme has bags of mini Pumpkin Spice doughnuts!
The Better Chip does make a beet chip, they sell them at the Hospital I work at in the cafeteria. They’re pretty good, but mostly just taste like a lightly salted chip with maybe a little beet after taste. But they’re a real pretty purple’ish red color, which makes them more fun to eat than a regular potato chip if you ask me!
Terra has a beet chip now in a mix with blue potato and something else that must be white (they are going with a red, white and blue theme), haven’t tried it. But I really like their other root veggie chips so beets should be good if I can find it. I’ve also had cassava root chips from some other company, very nice. Not really any healthier than potato chips, although they tend to be thicker and sometimes less greasy. Nice to have the variety. Root veggies make good junk food, don’t restrict yourself to just the white potato! The oil used matters, though. Plain potato chips made from tasty oils are best by far (corn oil, sunflower seed oil, peanut oil, safflower oil). Oddly enough, the cheap house brand in my local is the only one they sell now that has the good stuff, since Mike-Sells stopped using only peanut oil and Lays stopped having a type with just corn oil and maybe one of the other good ones. Doesn’t matter for flavored ones, I guess, but companies use soybean oil because it’s cheap and canola oil because they think people will assume it’s healthy (also tasteless, yuck).
