IHOP could’ve been like other chains and come out with their own donut-croissant hybrid. But, apparently, IHOP also stands for I Have Other Plans. Instead of a donut-croissant hybrid, IHOP has created a waffle-croissant hybrid — the Criss-Croissants.
They feature croissant dough baked in a waffle iron, then they’re filled with a sweet cream, folded over, and topped with fruit. Criss-Croissants are available in two varieties. Blackberry Lemonade features a waffled croissant filled with lemonade cream and topped with blackberries. Strawberry Rhubarb is a waffled croissant filled with sweet cream cheese and covered with a strawberry rhubarb topping.
Criss-Croissants are available as part of a breakfast combo at participating IHOP restaurants until April 5.
