This fast food fish sandwich season, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s are collaborating with Seattle-based Redhook Brewery to offer the Redhook Beer Battered Cod Fish Sandwich.
Some of you are probably wondering if you can get wasted eating this fish sandwich or multiple servings of this sandwich. The answer is no. According to the press release, there’s no residual alcohol. All the beer provides is a hoppy, malty beer flavor.
The sandwich is made up of a crispy, beer-battered premium cod fillet, topped with lettuce and tartar sauce on a sesame seed bun. The Carl’s Jr. version of the sandwich also includes tomato while the Hardee’s one has American cheese.
For those of you near Carl’s Jr./Green Burrito and Hardee’s/Red Burrito restaurants, the dual-chain locations will also offer Redhook Beer-Battered Cod Fish Tacos. The tacos feature the beer-battered cod, spicy Santa Fe sauce, shredded jack and cheddar cheeses, lettuce, and salsa, wrapped in a soft tortilla.
The Redhook Beer-Battered Cod Fish Sandwich is available at participating locations beginning at $3.69 or in a combo meal for $5.69. Two Redhook Beer-Battered Cod Fish Tacos are available for $3.99 or in a combo meal for $5.99.
