I just tried the McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak Smoked Sausage (note: I absolutely love their Montreal Steak Sauce). No similarity in flavor between the two products. Quite honestly, this was some of the worst sausage that I’ve ever tasted. Hardly any texture at all (bargain basement hot dogs have more), and absolute loads of grease. As these were not the lowest-priced sausages in the cooler, I was very disappointed.
I made these for dinner the other evening and my husband said they were hot. Way to spicy for him and he said he doesn’t want anymore of them.
The sausages were OK. Yes they are spicy. I think they easily have more texture and “bite” to them than an Oscar Meyer wiener, but you can tell it’s mass produced. It’s a pretty good product, I recommend it. Maybe your package didn’t include enough lips and buttholes for your preference. HAHAHAHA.
