Late last year, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s introduced the Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger that featured a pile of thick-cut Applewood-smoked bacon pieces.
This year, both chains are putting that bacon pile into their Mile High Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. The breakfast item also features a folded egg, two slices of American cheese, and a Made from Scratch Biscuit. It’s available for $2.99 and may also be ordered in a combo meal with hash browns and a drink for $4.69.

Salt kills. sandwich has over 2,000 mg salt. 1500 is recommended limit daily. Carl’s should be ashamed of itself!
Very unhealthy sandwich. ChefZee
Not everyone is salt sensitive. Doctors recommend low salt diets only as a precaution if the person doesn’t already know for sure that they are sensitive (especially if they react with high blood pressure). But many (maybe most) will not find that salt affects their blood pressure. High salt will usually increase water retention, but drinking more water will actually help release water from the tissues. So although salt might kill YOU, I might be fine with it. Can’t generalize.
Still, the massive amounts of salt in fast food do seem ridiculous and unneccessary. But the American diet is very high in salt anyway and eating a lot of it tends to encourage eating more of the same, so it’s an attempt to encourage repeat business. And lots of soda sales.
nothing like a 700 cal breakfast to wake you up and get you moving!
What type of People eat THIS for Breakfast.
What’s the difference between this sandwich and the Double Bacon Biscuit one they did a couple of years ago?
Ugh, the sheer amount of bacon and salt looks killer, plus the nearest Hardee’s is about 20 minutes away, so I probably won’t partake, but Hardee’s breakfast is glorious, so I expect this would be good.
