Burger King’s hoagie sesame seed bun has been used with a lot of new menu items over the past year.
Last month, it was the Extra Long Cheeseburger, and last year it was used with the Yumbo and Extra Long BBQ Cheeseburger.
The latest menu item to use the hoagie sesame seed bun is the Teriyaki Original Chicken Sandwich. It’s got everything you’d find with a Burger King Original Chicken Sandwich — a long breaded white meat chicken patty, chopped lettuce, mayonnaise, and toasted hoagie sesame seed bun — but it also comes with tomatoes and a teriyaki sauce. According to the Burger King website, the teriyaki sauce is sweet and savory with a hint of ginger.
The Teriyaki Original Chicken Sandwich has 580 calories, 26 grams of fat, 4 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 65 milligrams of cholesterol, 1290 milligrams of sodium, 61 grams of carbohydrates, 14 grams of sugar, and 29 grams of protein.

Teriyaki sauce with the Mayo?!?!?!?!
Hi Marvo, this is splitting hairs but I don’t believe the BK original chicken uses a filet.
You are correct. Corrected. On the BK website they called the patty a “fillet” in the Teriyaki Original Chicken Sandwich’s description, but when you customize it, it shows that it’s the same Original Chicken Patty.
Well, I tried this sandwich and it is delicious, even with teriyaki and mayonaise together. I even later tried a whopper with terikyaki, I just replaced the ketchup with teriyaki sauce and that was delicious as well.
