SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes with Energy Clusters Cereal

Kellogg's Frosted Flakes with Energy Clusters Cereal

The Amazon listing for this cereal says the “energy clusters” are granola clusters. And if you look closely at the box, the 9 grams of protein don’t come from the cereal. Five grams comes from the cereal and the other four come from milk. Oh, in case you were wondering, a serving of regular Frosted Flakes as one gram of protein. (Spotted by Adam at Tops Friendly Markets.)

  1. Why advertise 9g of protein? Not everyone is going to get out a measuring cup and measure the right amount of milk into their bowl with the precise amount of Frosted Flakes.

  2. I really think the name of the cereal or the ‘ with energy clusters’ is going to be interpreted in the wrong way. We are trying to keep our children away from all these energy drinks, powders, supplements …..
And now a trusted company in our home state takes a product we have grown up with and now advertises With Energy Clusters. Kids are going to think that energy supplements sold in bottles and cans are okay to use. Why not? Tony the Tiger does

  3. “….now a trusted company….”—You trusted a sugar cereal company with cartoon characters? Yeah, business & unregulated billions of advertising dollars aims directly at the hearts & health of children. The billion buck broadside battering even spills over & swamps the brains of addled adult america……who have children in need of protection.
