FAST FOOD NEWS: Denny’s Slamtastic 4 Menu

The Thing Burger

There hasn’t been much cross-promotion with the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, which opens on August 7. I haven’t seen a General Mills Basic 4 Fantastic Four cereal or a Fantastik Four Superhero Strength All Purpose Cleaner. But Denny’s is now offering their new Slamtastic 4 Menu.

It features several breakfast entrees, a burger, a dessert, and a smoothie.

The Thing Burger has a beef patty topped with hash browns, an egg cooked to order, cheddar cheese, two bacon strips and a Thing sauce. It’s served on a cheddar bun with wavy-cut French fries.

It has 1130 calories 87 grams of fat, 22 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 465 milligrams of cholesterol, 3010 milligrams of sodium, 54 grams of carbohydrates, 8 grams of fiber, and 40 grams of protein.

Invisible Woman Slam

There’s also the Fantastic Four Cheese Omelette. It’s a three-egg omelette stuffed with cheddar, Swiss, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, fresh spinach, diced bacon, onions and mushrooms tossed in a blend of sun-dried tomatoes and herbs. It’s topped with diced tomatoes and served with hash browns and your choice of bread. With toast it has 1080 calories, 71 grams of fat, 25 grams of saturated fat, 1 gram of trans fat, 710 milligrams of cholesterol, 1330 milligrams of sodium, 58 grams of carbohydrates, 7 grams of fiber, and 52 grams of protein.

Dr Doom Lava Cake

The dessert on the Slamtastic 4 Menu is the Doom Lava Cake which feature warm chocolate cake filled with molten chocolate and topped with mini chocolate and white chocolate chips, powdered sugar, and a scoop of chocolate ice cream. It has 820 calories, 40 grams of fat, 23 grams of saturated fat, 81 grams of sugar, and 10 grams of protein.

Finally, there’s the Fantastic Four Fruit Smoothie. It’s made with fresh banana, raspberries, blueberries, pomegranate, nonfat yogurt, and juice. It has significantly lower nutrition facts than everything else I’ve previously mentioned.

If you’ve tried anything from the menu, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

    1. i think it’s meant for men, saying they will stay single if they keep eating that kind of dish

    2. That was my first thought, too!

I got a coupon for these, but unless I raise a barn or something, I don’t think I want to eat one.

  1. That “Thing Burger” actually looks pretty good. There’s something about “The Human Torch Skillet” that just doesn’t sound right though.

  2. New at Denny’s! The Fantastic Four… Hundred Pound Slamtastic menu! Here for a limited time*!
    *You, not the entrees.

  3. Denny’s is within walking distance to where I live so I go there often. I had a similar sausage skillet and it was very good. All of these items except for the pancake one (not big on pancakes) looks definitely tryable.

  4. sodium fam weirdos.. dont care about dennys at all/… y do plp not just go elswere.. a nice decent place rather thaen a boring lame diner.. ugh.. hate that place

      1. I was going to say the same thing. I was under the impression that most readers of this blog were educated.

  5. Do people usually eat something like this as their only meal of the day? Share it with one or two or three other people? Take home doggie bags? It just seems like an impossible amount of food for most people.

    1. I go to Denny’s all the time, I like to think I am not a big eater I have an average appetite. And it’s the average amount of food for a dinner. Most of the time I do not get a dessert.

      1. It doesn’t look like too much food, but the nutritional info seems way off range for many people today. Folks who are taller or get a lot of exercise routinely because of their job or lifestyle might have no trouble with it. Also depends on how lightly you eat the rest of the day. But your digestive tract is gonna be working hard for hours…. 🙂 It must be overdoing on fats and oils that pushes the calorie counts up, and it takes about an hour for the stomach to break down about 10 grams of fat. That’s the fat in 1/8th of a Domino’s large cheese pizza with mushrooms, onions, black and green olives. (I need to limit how much I eat at once to keep my innards happy, hence I am way too up on this stuff). But people vary in their digestive efficiency.

  6. Alright, the burger looks awesome and i would try it immediately if we had a denny’s here in germany, but guys… what exactly is wrong with your breakfast? oO

1920kcal just for the burger? That means a grown up man can’t really eat anything more that day without exceeding his recommended (daily) calorie intake… oO
Is that really supposed to be called breakfast? I could go with dinner or maybe lunch but breakfast? oO
    ^^

Still… i would love to try it… a sunny side-up egg on hash browns and beef, that releases his runny goo (aka egg yolk) all over the burger the first time you get a bite of it?
    I’M IN! ^^
