If you live in Sacramento, California; Providence, Rhode Island; or Chattanooga…um, (uses Google) Tennessee (sorry, Tennesseans, I suck at geography), you are one of the few people right now who can wrap their mouths around Wendy’s Green Chile Quesoburger.
The test item features a 100 percent beef patty, spicy poblano queso sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, salsa verde, three strips of Applewood smoked bacon, and red onion slices on a toasted premium bun. The burger has 550 calories, 32 grams of fat, 14 grams of saturated fat, 1.5 grams of trans fat, 1130 milligrams of sodium, 35 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, and 34 grams of protein.
Wendy’s is also offering only in those cities a Queso Baked Potato that takes the salsa verde and poblano queso sauce and puts its on a baked potato with shredded cheddar cheese. The baked potato variation has 400 calories, 10 grams of fat, 5 grams of saturated fat, 25 milligrams of cholesterol, 540 milligrams of sodium, 66 grams of carbohydrates, 7 grams of fiber, and 13 grams of protein.
If you’ve tried either one, let us know what you think of it in the comments.
