It’s that time of year again when the snickerdoodle snakes its flavor into snacks. Some of the first items come from Dunkin’ Donuts.

Meh. Unequivocally meh.
I was kinda psyched to try that Caramel Cheesecake square. The caramel frosting wasn’t bad (SO sweet) but the filling was just creamy air without any flavor and the donut itself was – like most DD donuts – nondescript and greasy-tasting.
Didn’t finish it. Me, a cheesecake and caramel obsessed fat girl who adores donuts – and I did not finish the blood thing. Sad face.
Also – though it doesn’t really bear any weight on a food review site where people will be from all over – the service we had was terrible. We spent 90 seconds looking at the menu in the drive-thru (with no one else behind us, mind you) and got barked at by the cashier. So fun.
I had high hopes for the snickerdoodle donut, but I was very disappointed in it. The filling was very sweet with not much cinnamon flavor at all. And almost greasy tasting. The rest of the donut was almost hard. Not the soft layers of the original croissant donut they had.
I agree. The filling was wayy to sweet, and for me that is saying something. The rest of the donut I kind of liked though.
The cheesecake square isn’t bad 4 stars from me , it could use more filling and a bit less icing
I think it depends on the particular store you get it from. I got a snickerdoodle one in Iowa that was perfect, bought the same one in Florida and it was disappointing as there was no crumb topping and little filling.
