Smorz Cereal is back! But the partially hydrogenated oils that were in the original aren’t! (Spotted by Adam at Dollar General.)

I noticed it no longer contains partially hydrogenated oils, which a lot of Kellogg’s kids cereals still have in small quantities. I wonder how it will taste? I liked Smorz but didn’t love it because the marshmallows would go bad quickly. I hope it’s better this time around, even though I would have brought back Eggo cereal if I was the one in charge. I hope this means they don’t kill Cinnabon cereal in the few places that still carry it.

Let me know when they bring back S’mores crunch. It was essentially Golden Grahams with a chocolate dusting and marshmallows. You can’t beat that, this S’more cereal wasn’t very good.
Try the Malt-O-Meal S’mores cereal. It’s the closet you’ll probably get to the 80’s S’mores crunch. It’s not an exact copy but pretty darn close! The closest we will ever get.
You’re absolutely right. A lot of Albertson’s/Jewel Osco’s carry it. Absolutely delicious. As close as it gets to reliving a taste from the 80’s!

Do what I do. Pour a bowl of golden grahams, add cocoa powder and those mini marshmallows that they sell in the hot chocolate aisle. Very close.

Weird. I literally got a craving this stuff today, and it just so happens it’s coming back… Today?? Lucky timing? Who knows.

That’s odd. The marshmallows don’t have the chocolaty stripes anymore. Ah well, just as long as the cereal tastes exactly like it did back then, I’ll be satisfied. Otherwise, I’ll be very disappointed in Kellogg’s!
I was so excited when I say S’mores back on the shelf that I bought 3 boxes expecting it to taste exactly like the old S’mores. NOT! This cereal does not have the same taste and it is so rough on your mouth that it is sore from trying to eat it. Now I guess they have discontinued Krave in order to go back to S’mores which is definitely not the same as before.
Agreed! I remember that once the milk hit the little chocolate squares and those hot coco marshmallows that MAGIC happened. Not this time around! How dare they change the recipe! Why answer our prayers and then send us fools gold!?! I am ashamed to be an American.
I would like to thank you for bringing back Smorez! I missed it so much and it is without a doubt my favorite cereal and I am super happy that it is back!
