You’re right, JC. Tis the season for egg nog, peppermint, and snickerdoodle flavored snacks. (Spotted by Chris B at Giant.)

Cooked Perfect Stuffed Meatballs (Three Cheese in Marinara and Cheese in Caramelized Onion Sauce)

Cooked Perfect Stuffed Meatballs (Three Cheese in Marinara and Cheese in Caramelized Onion Sauce)

I’ve never heard of Cooked Perfect before. But, perhaps, the brand should be renamed to Meatballs, Meatballs, and Meatballs, because it appears they make a lot of meatballs. (Spotted by Amanda at Kroger.)

H-E-B Glazes (Pineapple Sriracha, Honey Maple, Brown Sugar, and Peach Bourbon)

H-E-B Glazes (Pineapple Sriracha, Honey Maple, Brown Sugar, and Peach Bourbon)

Their packaging suggests Honey Maple and Peach Bourbon would go great on ice cream, but not the Brown Sugar? (Spotted by Robbie at H-E-B.)

Ball Park The Flame Grilled Beef Jerky (Original and Bourbon BBQ)

Not impressed, Ball Park. But you’ll have my attention when you start selling hot dog jerky. (Spotted by Adam at Tops Friendly Markets.)

  1. Those Cooked Perfect Stuffed Meatballs in Caramelized Onion Sauce are disgusting. Ate one and threw the rest out.

    1. I don’t think they were disgusting, but they were surprisingly bland. We made it with gnocchi, but there was barely any onion flavor or cheese flavor. Very meh.

I like the brand’s normal meatballs, though.

  2. The only brand of store bought meatballs I buy is Cooked Perfect! The angus meatballs, specifically, are AMAZING. I will definitely be on the lookout for the Mac & cheese and meatball skillet meal to try. The stuffed meatballs sound good, but a 6 count box for the price as a whole bag of meatballs (even if I had the $1.50/1 coupon) is totally not worth it.

    1. Have you tried Kirkland (Costco’s house brand) frozen meatballs? I remember I couldn’t get enough of them as a boy.

      1. I’ve never even thought of trying them, but thanks for the suggestion! I’ll take a look at them the next time I make a Costco run. I’m rarely disappointed by Kirkland products so the bar is now set pretty high in my mind. Lol

  3. Had the Ball Park beef jerky on two occasions now and I honestly think it’s pretty damn tasty. I remember being surprised by it at least.

  4. I tried those Pie Bites and they tasted really really cheap. Nothing like the packaging is trying to suggest. Will not be buying them again.

  5. I tried JC’s Chocolate Silk Pie bites (also found at Giant) – not too bad. They were far more candy bar like than truffle like, though.
