Two things nutritionists might tell us we should eat more of are yogurt and oatmeal. Yoplait combined the two for their Plenti Oatmeal line.
After plunging my spoon into it, the first thing I noticed was how thick it was. Greek yogurt is usually thick, but the oats made it elementary school paste-like. It felt as if stirring would give my wrists a slight workout.
But, thankfully, there’s no need for stirring because the oats are swimming in the yogurt. This results in the oats being a little slimy and chewy. It’s slightly weird, and probably a deal breaker for many of you, but I like to tap into my inner Calvin and pretend I’m eating the eggs of an alien to save humanity.
The yogurt tastes like Yoplait strawberry yogurt, but the oats give it a slight starchiness. There are also several fruit chunks floating around. But they don’t do anything to enhance the strawberry flavor.
Nutritionists would say oatmeal is a good source of fiber, but Yoplait Plenti Oatmeal isn’t that great. It provides only two grams.
Overall, I liked this and, just like with the original Yoplait Plenti, I didn’t mind its texture. The amount of fiber is sad, but the oats make me feel I’m eating something substantial. For many of you the texture will turn you off and I completely understand. But if you enjoy strawberry Greek yogurt that’s feels like you’re chewing on alien eggs and paste, then you might like Yoplait’s Plenti Oatmeal Strawberry Greek Yogurt.

Whoa that looks really unappetizing! May try it though. Thanks for the review.
I thought the texture would turn me off too but I actually like it…same for the original Plenti. I rarely eat oatmeal and liked eating it this way.
I just spotted this on the store shelves within the past week and I think it looks and sounds great! I’ve always wanted to make my own overnight oats and now I like that there is a new, convenient option!
The concept for this reminds me a lot of the Quaker Real Medleys Granola & Yogurt Blend Strawberry & Almond cup I tried a little while back.
That one just subbed granola for oats, and it came in a dry powder that you mixed your own milk into. Since the granola wasn’t swimming in yogurt for weeks this way, it kept a nice, crunchy texture. If people are looking to avoid the slimy pat phenomena, I’d recommend trying the Real Medleys.
I think these have been discontinued ;(
hope so they are nasty.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen oatmeal in yogurt before. I think there is a good reason for this.
I just ate the blueberry one..LOL your review is spot on. It wasn’t bad tasting, very strange with the oatmeal texture, kept wanting to bit into a some fruit but there really wasn’t any. I got it with a free Von’s coupon, don’t think I’d buy it though.
This is basically prepackaged overnight oats (a Pinterest fad).
Mold grows on this very quick. I saw someone returning with mold in Costco. Within a week, the one that I had started having mold. They are in the refrigerator all the time, but still develop mold. Something is wrong with this product.
I had the opposite experience. I had a cinnamon and apple one in the fridge a month past the expiry date. It was hidden in the back of the fridge. It tasted just like the new ones I bought and had no mold. I bet the ones with mold were in a batch that wasn’t sealed properly.
I just had the Maple Brown Sugar one. It’s 170 calories, no fruit, and just as chewy. What struck me though was the overwhelming sickening sweet of the maple. Way overpowering. I got about halfway through but between the texture and the sweet, I had to set it aside. I’d much rather eat a bowl of warm oatmeal with milk!
I live these! The texture is my favorite! Nice and hardy. Perfect for breakfast. I always mix a flavor with the vanilla flavor. Usually blueberry. It’s definitely popular. My local store is sold out usually. I went early today because Safeway has them for $1. I stocked up.
I think if they are pass use by dates is when you see mold, and water forming in the yogurt, like sour cream does if left too long .
I love the Yoplait plenty can’t seem to find it anymore in San Diego
