Found the key lime pie in shop rite – it was really easy to make and tasted good-but directions say to pour filling into baked crust- when I did the crust started mixing with the filling- maybe let crust cool and cool filling a bit prior to pouring into the crust
To lower the fat content, make the lime filling with 1 cup evaporated milk; then add 1 cup cottage cheese and stir to melt in as much as possible. Sieving the cottage would make the filling smoother, but is not necessary for family meals.
