Well, Jamba Juice now has a new line of Protein Smoothies. Each provides at least 28 grams of protein and are fortified with calcium, riboflavin, and phosphorus.
There are three flavors available: Cookies and Cream, Chocolate, and Peanut Butter and Banana Chocolate.
The Cookies ‘n Crème Protein Smoothie is made with milk, ice, cre?me filled chocolate cookies, frozen bananas, and whey protein boost. A small serving has 480 calories, 15 grams of fat, 6 grams of saturated fat, 360 milligrams of sodium, 59 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 37 grams of sugar, and 28 grams of protein.
The Chocolate Protein Smoothie is a combination of Chocolate Moo’d Base, milk, ice, frozen bananas, and whey protein boost. A small has 370 calories, 6 grams of fat, 2.5 grams of saturated fat, 170 milligrams of sodium, 53 grams of carbohydrates, 3 grams of fiber, 44 grams of sugar, and 28 grams of protein.
Finally, there’s the PB & Banana Protein Smoothie, which is a blend of milk, ice, frozen bananas, peanut butter, whey protein boost, and Clover honey. A small has 490 calories, 22 grams of fat, 5 grams of saturated fat, 270 milligrams of sodium, 44 grams of carbohydrates, 3 grams of fiber, 35 grams of sugar, and 32 grams of protein.

Sounds tasty, but that’s a ton of calories, fat, and sugar for a protein shake.
480 calories for a small…I can make a 200-calorie one for the same amount of protein and probably more volume at home.
