Update: We reviewed the Smoke Mountain Sandwich! Click here to read our review.
Arby’s is known for their meats. And when you think the chain can’t add another, the chain adds another. Arby’s is now offering pork belly, which is featured in two new sandwiches — the Smokehouse Pork Belly Sandwich and Smoke Mountain Sandwich.
The Smokehouse Pork Belly Sandwich has hickory smoked pork belly that’s topped with smoked cheddar, BBQ sauce, crispy onions, and mayonnaise on a star cut bun. It has 860 calories, 61 grams of fat, 23 grams of saturated fat, 0.5 grams of trans fat, 105 milligrams of cholesterol, 1540 milligrams of sodium, 49 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 13 grams of sugar, and 29 grams of protein.
The Smoke Mountain Sandwich combines all of Arby’s slow-smoked meats — pork belly, brisket, and turkey — into one sandwich. It also comes with crispy onions strings, smoked cheddar cheese, and BBQ sauce on a star cut bun. The mini meat mountain has 800 calories, 46 grams of fat, 18 grams of saturated fat, 1 gram of trans fat, 135 milligrams of cholesterol, 1910 milligrams of sodium, 50 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 13 grams of sugar, and 49 grams of protein.
If you’ve tried either, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

Just tried the new pork belly…rather disappointed, but my hopes weren’t too high anyways. The barbecue sauce is WAY too sweet. And the pork belly was burnt due to reheating. The sandwich definitely lacks balance. Oh well, at least the Jamocha shake will never disappoint.
I got their new slogan:
The Smoke Mountain Sandwich, now with a daily intake of sodium!
First off, that’s basically true of any fast food item. But considering I’ve seen some fairly no-frills burgers top out at over 1000 calories and nearly 2500mg of sodium, that sandwich stacks up pretty well.
Pork belly is the hipsters bacon. I personally liked the sandwich.
Pork + brisket + cheddar cheese… what a big sandwich… yummy!!
Pork belly kept reminding me of a cartoon but I didn’t know why. Finally remembered that Pork Belly is the name of the town in Johnny Test on Cartoon Network…. They could use him as the mascot for the sandwich and then for a salad, the evil Darth Vegan.
I think Cow and Chicken (also on Cartoon Network) were always being fed pork bellies also by their parents. That was kind of gross. Both the food and the show.
Amaze balls!!!!!! Smoky with just the right amount of sauce, char and fat pockets
I had the Smokehouse Mountain sandwich, for the first time yesterday. I was quite hungry when I began, so the first half of the sandwich was AMAZING. I took my time to critique the individual flavors with the second half. The smoked flavor in the meat is obvious. As a superior cook myself, I found the turkey and brisket to be void of ANY flavor except the smoked flavor from the wood. When I smoke my brisket, I create a rub made up of eight ingredients. The combination leaves my guest speechless and never have there been leftovers. Meat MUST be seasoned. Smoking the meat enhances these flavor. I give it a 7 out of 10. The fried onion and sauce greatly help compensate for missing seasonings. This is the best sandwich you can find at a fast food restaurant.
Hey Guys
Dave E Hughes here, your Chatham Illinois fast food expert. Both me and my partner Jock just love Arby’s new pork belly sandwich it is awesomely delicious filled with decadent goodness. So if you are looking for something ultimately delicious to eat Head on over to Arby’s and pick up a pork bell sandwich ?
It’s 75 % fat. The fat slides off while eating it. Just a disgusting sandwich. I like the other smokehouse sandwiches though.
Look, no one is buying a pork belly sandwich and worrying about nutritional value! To that end, I have now eaten 2 of them in the last month. They are absolutely marvelous! Better than bacon fatty goodness, light on the sauce, with the smoky flavor coming thru. If you are the kind of person who eats the fat strip that is usually attached to a steak, you will love this sandwich! Bring napkins and dental floss/toothpick, you’ll need it – but it will be worth it. Has replaced my previous favorite (Beef and Cheddar) as best sandwich at Arby’s!
I agree. I love this. I really shouldn’t. But this smoked mix Is perfect. If you get a good char on the fat. Yummy!
An awesome sandwich, best in fast-food. I’d recommend it without sauce. I’m not a big fan of sweet barbecue sauces.
