For the month of December, Baskin-Robbins has brought back Peppermint Bark in the Dark as its Flavor of the Month. The flavor is made up of crunchy peppermint bark and chocolate ice cream with a peppermint candy and white chocolate-flavored ribbon. The first time the flavor was offered was in 2013.
Along with the returning flavor, the ice cream chain is also offering two festive frozen treats — the Peppermint & Winter Oreo Cookies Polar Pizza and Ganache Poinsettia Cake.
The Polar Pizza features a double fudge brownie crust with peppermint ice cream that’s topped with Winter Oreo Cookie pieces and drizzled with marshmallow and fudge toppings. The ice cream and ganache cake is topped with a wreath of Winter Oreo Cookie pieces and an icing poinsettia.
If you’ve tried either one, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

I was so excited when I saw this because peppermint & chocolate is my favorite combination and also my birthday is in December so getting a peppermint ice cream & chocolate cake would be perfection!! I just noticed that both of these have brownie as a base though. Ehhh. I love home made brownies don’t get me wrong but commercial ones taste like chocolate cardboard to me. If they had Oreo crumb crusts that would be better…you know the Oreo core of the Ben & Jerry cookie core ice cream like Boom Chocolatta, for example? Or a moist Oreo pie crust? Something like that would be awesome as a base rather than brownie especially since it is an “Oreo” cake.
