Starbucks did a lot of interesting things this year. The coffee chain started 2016 with changes to its rewards program, which ended up angering a lot of customers. And it’s ending the year with the announcement of CEO Howard Schultz stepping down from the position in April 2017.

In between those two events, Starbucks released new drinks, like the Cherry Blossom Frappuccino, Chile Mocha, Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato, and, of course, the Pokemon GO Frappuccino.

To enter this prize drawing for a $5 Starbucks Gift Card, leave a comment with THIS post. You can write whatever you want, but please don’t forget to fill out the email field because we’ll be emailing the randomly selected winner for his or her mailing address.

We will stop accepting entries on December 15, 2016 at 12:00 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time (2:00 a.m. Pacific, 5:00 a.m. Eastern). Only one comment allowed per person, and it’s only open to U.S. residents 18 years old or older.

  86. Hi IB crew, I have to be honest with you. I have never been to a Starbucks for two reasons. One, I live in Southern Alabama and just recently found out that our Target has a mini Starbucks in it. The other reason is because the prices are way above my budget. I cannot afford it on my own and it truly upsets me because I am a foodie. I enjoy trying new foods and all the mom and pop restaurants that I can find. Food is a passion and not being able to try something because its out of my price range stings, badly. Sorry for the rant.

  153. Starbucks also ended the year by changing up the holiday cup design yet again with some controversy…but not as much controversy as the presidential election! The gingerbread latte was not bad, but not as good as the peppermint.

  213. Thanks for this giveaway! My favorite thing they released this year was their iced coconut milk mocha macchiato but if I win this gift card I’m definitely saving it to try one of their new gluten free products next year! I’m definitely curious what those will be like!

  283. That’s a shame that the CEO has to step down over the change in rewards program. Was that the reason? I wasn’t happy too at first but if people play the game right, they can still get good rewards regularly.
