That nugget ranking is pretty spot on.
Burger King ruined their nuggets. The original chicken tender “nugget”, while floppy, had a superior flavor to the new nugget and breading instead of batter – and they dipped better. The chicken fries are just not as good as those old ones.
The only objection I have is the ranking of KFC popcorn chicken. That’s really pooping on KFC in general. They are popcorn chicken after all, so yes, smaller pieces will be mostly breading. But isn’t that what you came here for? Fwiw, to be fair, the bigger pieces have more flavor than most of the nuggets on the list. They at least can contend with Popeyes.
Finally, the sauce rankings are insane. No mention of ANY of BKs offerings? Insanity. I will contend that Popeyes has recently crushed it with sauces. That Mardi Gras Mustard is really great.
I would have put this on Eater as well, but 24 hours before you can comment? In today’s Internets, I’m not going to remember the article exists 24 hours from now. Come on.
