Papa John’s has a new burger-pizza hybrid — the Bacon Cheddarburger Pizza. It follows the Double Cheeseburger Pizza, Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza, and Mushroom Swiss Burger Pizza.
The new pizza features beef, hickory-smoked bacon, dill pickle slices, fresh-cut Roma tomatoes, real cheese made from mozzarella, Wisconsin cheddar, and the chain’s zesty burger sauce. So it’s pretty much Papa John’s Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza with cheddar.
A large or Pan Bacon Cheddarburger Pizza is available for only $10 at participating locations until June 25.

I’m fine with pickles on a burger, but pickles on what is stated to be a pizza just doesn’t do it for me. Likewise, tomatoes on a hamburger and tomatoes on a pizza are equally unacceptable, even though I view ketchup on a hamburger and pizza sauce on a pizza as nearly essential ingredients.
Tomatoes on burgers and pizza are pretty standard (although I’m not much of a fan for tomatoes on either), so they’re clearly not “unacceptable”. So where then are tomatoes “allowed”?
I had the Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza when it was out and it was pretty bad. All you could taste were the pickles and I’m a big pickle fan. They just don’t go well on a pizza.
I tried the cheeseburger pizza slice when they handed out during the superbowl festivities in Times Square. I hated it. Pickles ruined it and nearly gagged
Not sure what changes were made but no way as good as last year… disappointed to the max
I usually love Papa Johns pizzas as I think their sauce is one of the better ones on the market. However this pizza was a big disappointment as it really did just have an overpowering pickle flavor and that’s saying a lot since I eat almost anything that has been pickled (not eggs or pigs feet though)!
Other family members walked away from it too after 1 small slice. Won’t be purchasing this one again ever.
