Whataburger has two new menu items that feature chorizo — the Chorizo Burger and Chorizo Taquito.

I’ve heard these taste like sloppy joes. I love Whataburger, hate chorizo, but have never really had a sloppy joe in my life so this is tempting.
Who actually hates chorizo? I get not liking it, but hating it? Weird.
not so weird…i kinda hate it too.
p,s, you wanna’ talk about hating something being weird? look at this fella below hating peppers and onions!!!
I’ve been there before… it was actually Whataburger’s grilled onions and the girl at the register who convinced me to try it (on my next trip, though).
Main reason is the flavor is too strong for me?
Yeah my dislike for it is that strong… I guess because I keep tricking myself to like the next new item that has it and I end up so disgusted by it.
Had the burger today (without the peppers and onions, cause ew) and it was fantastic. It was indeed a burger, and couldn’t possibly be further from a sloppy joe. The chili sauce added a nice punch.
The peppers and onions are a big part of what makes it reminiscent of a sloppy joe, and when ordered with everything on it, it does indeed resemble one. It doesn’t have the same sweetness, since it features a chili sauce instead of the tomato-based sauce found on most sloppy joes, but it’s still similar.
It’s very good— probably the best limited-time item I’ve eaten there.
I had one of these earlier this weeks and it was absolutely my favorite specialty burger Whataburger has released, finally replacing the A1 Thick and Hearty burger in my heart. I didn’t get sloppy joe out of it, but maybe my chorizo taste buds are more finely tuned after almost 3 decades of living in Texas. I love that they offer everything in a junior size burger for those of us with smaller appetites, two full size patties plus chorizo is way too much food for me. For those of you fortunate enough to live in a Whataburger state, you won’t regret trying this one! For those of you that don’t, sop up your non-heat induced tears with your local burger of choice.
OMGosh, Love this new Chorizo burger as it’s the bomb!!!….It’s so very delicious whether on the reg bun or Texas Toast! So many flavors just melding together make it just so over the top great! This is now my new go to staple burger of all time. I normally order a double meat anyways so now this new one is my everything quite delicious burger. Whether a bit sloppy or not, it’s all just plain all so good! Taking anything like the peppers, onions or sauce off just takes away some it gooey goodness! A friend just HAD to get one even before I got paid. I will be back for another one very soon.
