I was VERY excited when I spotted this, but I ended up extremely disappointed. Not only is the ice cream an odd pairing with apple, but it’s custard “flavored”, which means they couldn’t even add enough egg yolk to call it custard. And there are no apples, just apple butter, which is severely lacking in spice. The shortbread pieces are pleasant, but not enough to salvage this flavor.
Avoid this one.
The runner up Associate’s Choice was a Bud Light flavored ice cream with Marlboro swirls.
I saw this in my local Walmart 4-15-18. Apple pie, ok must be good. I got home and broke the plastic seal… Got a spoon dug in…. Um what is this?!? There is absolutely nothing apple pie about this! It’s like eating old fashioned vanilla ice cream, no Apple flavor (lacking the apple butter) I found a few gooey swirls, and the cinnamon sugar bites? Um, what?????? They lack cinnamon and sugar taste. Not worth the money, I’ve had other great value ice creams (moose tracks, cookies and cream, etc) And this is the worst of the worst. They better go fire the associates that picked this. And throw in an actual freaking pie.
It sucks so bad, I don’t want to even waste my gas to go 5 miles to get my money back then 5 miles home.. Gallon of gas cost more than the ice cream. Save yourself the money, but another ice cream!
