Burger King’s new Nightmare King should’ve really been called the Fear King, as in fear that the dye in its green sesame seed bun will cause your poop to change color like the chain’s Halloween Whopper did a few years ago.
Along with the glazed green sesame seed bun, the sandwich also comes with a 1/4 lb. flame-grilled beef patty, a 100 percent white meat crispy chicken fillet, American cheese, thick-cut bacon, mayonnaise, and onions.
The Nightmare King is available at participating Burger King restaurants for a limited time at a recommended price of $6.39.
The sandwich has 1020 calories, 65 grams of fat, 20 grams of saturated fat, 2 grams of trans fat, 170 milligrams of cholesterol, 1890 milligrams of sodium, 60 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 7 grams of sugar, and 51 grams of protein.

Geez, $6.39 for that? I realize there’s a burger patty and a chicken fillet, but that seems excessive for a sandwich.
The crazy thing is fast food really isn’t that cheap anymore unless you get the basic stuff like a simple hamburger or dollar menu stuff.
The only thing giving me nightmares is the price.
Price seems ok to me. It’s right in line with their other Kings, and anybody else’s half pound specialties.
No need for that dyed green bun
Maybe it’s because I skipped the cheese (lactose intolerant), but this was a “meh” burger. It was good but I’d never order it again. The chicken was interesting…I might try their chicken again on it’s own.
I’ve had much better sandwiches from Burger King before so I was a bit disappointed with this one.
I expect to give this a try before it goes away, but I know I won’t be eating it as-is. I don’t have nightmares about eating chicken breast and a burger in the same bite, but I don’t intend to do it with this new menu item. I’ll probably remove the chicken and eat that separately.
