I thought 2019 was going to be The Year of the Churro, but it appears it’ll more likely be The Year of Oatmilk. (Spotted by Sarah R at Sprouts.)

According to the price tag, that frozen dairy dessert is more than 40 cents per ounce. You can buy a pretty decent cut of meat for that much per ounce.
To be fair, Sprouts can be expensive. I’ve seen the brand much cheaper at other stores.
@John W. Agreed. It’s hard to get excited for a non-dairy product that costs $2 to $3 more than a regular dairy version. You get no bang for your buck buying these non-dairy ice creams or yogurts either. You’d think there was a worldwide oat, almond, or coconut shortage with the prices the stores charge for non-dairy, non-soy products. And most supermarkets rarely have sales on these non-dairy ice cream pints. Even with a manufacturer coupon, they’re still way overpriced.
At least it soymilk and not tree nut milk
