Looks like it will only be available in New York and Philadelphia, according to a Coca-Cola press release.
is it caffeinated like Barq’s root beer?
Wait is birch beer just a regional thing? I always took it for granted.
Birch beer is a northeastern thing
Kroger’s in Kentucky carried an in house brand Birch Beer in their “Real Sugar” line of sodas, seemingly to compete with Jones Soda I assumed. To me it had an overwhelming wintergreen flavor. Barq’s is one of my favorite mainstream brands of root beer and I am just curious does anyone know if this Birch Beer they’re making also has a pronounced wintergreen flavor?
This needs to go national!!!
Coca-Cola likes to keep certain Barq’s flavors regional. They have a great French Vanilla Cream Soda that I have only seen in the deep south. They had a Barq’s Float Vanilla Root Beer several years ago that never made it out of the south. They should at least attempt to make their products national. I’m old enough to remember when Barq’s had several other flavors including Grape, Lime and Orange. I was also disappointed that they discontinued the Diet Red Cream Soda a couple years ago.
