McDonald’s is letting you taste what’s on its international menus without having you to look for your passport or check to see if your government issued ID has a gold star on it. With its Worldwide Favorites Menu, you can try for a limited time menu items from far away places, like The Netherlands, Spain, and Australia, and from a not so far away place, Canada.
There are four offerings available:
Stroopwafel McFlurry (The Netherlands): Vanilla soft serve, mixed with a caramel swirl and authentic chopped Dutch Daelmans Stroopwafel caramel waffle cookie pieces.
Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger (Spain): A quarter pound of 100 percent fresh beef topped with thick cut Applewood-smoked bacon, smoky McBacon Sauce, real Gouda cheese, and slivered onions on a freshly toasted sesame seed bun.
Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich (Canada): Available with grilled or crispy all white meat chicken, it’s topped with a tomato & herb sauce, mozzarella cheese, slivered onions, lettuce, and sliced Roma tomatoes on a freshly toasted artisan roll.
Cheesy Bacon Fries (Australia): It’s back. Click here for our review from last year when it made its debut in the U.S. The meaty and cheesy side features McDonald’s World Famous Fries topped with cheddar cheese sauce and chopped Applewood-smoked bacon.
The McDonald’s Worldwide Favorites will be available for a limited time nationwide at participating locations, starting on June 5. Although in some places, they’ve been available for the past week or two.
If you try any of them, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

I am definitely getting the McFlurry. Stroopwafel is amazing.
I’ve had the stroopwaffle mcflurry twice now. It’s my favorite McFlurry flavor ever! There’s almost a toffee essence in some of the bites. There’s an amazing contrast of crunch to the creamy soft serve that I really like. You can taste a little bit of the cinnamon which complements the sweetness of the caramel well. Def getting again!
The items are available for *near-free* June 6, 2-5 p.m., with “payment” using any foreign currency of any denomination. 🙂 https://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/2019/06/you-can-try-mcdonalds-new-international-menu-for-free-this-week.html
Hah, that’s a pretty clever idea for a promotion. I’m pretty sure I have a Canadian coin somewhere…
Tried the Stroopwafel McFlurry and it was delicious. Lots of cookie pieces and caramel. Definitely worth getting. Also tried the tomato mozz crispy chicken sandwich. Was very good if you take off the weird addition of way too many raw onions. The sauce had a nice basil flavor.
Other than the McFlurry, I’m really having a hard time understanding how these are representative of the various countries.
We are in the UK with our tastes of America (a bit dull), but i’d much rather have that mcflurry!
I had stroppwafel flavoured profiteroles in Amsterdam last year and they were amazing!
if they love us they will give us that mcflurry!
We have never had a burger with a bagel as a bun…What is this bullshit they’re pulling on you guys?
Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich – Wait we have that here in Canada?
I can’t recall seeing it ever, so perhaps I’ll have to tour down one afternoon to upstate NY and try one.
