I’m surprised these aren’t called Mrs. Butterworth’s Breakfast for 1. Also, the idea of syrup chips fascinate me. (Spotted by Amanda Y at Kroger.)

So these are McGriddles in a cake-in-a-mug format? There is some potential there.
What? No! McGriddles is a breakfast sandwich consisting of eggs, sausage or bacon, and cheese between two pancakes. This is just mashed pancakes with clumps of maple syrup dispersed… but you’re right about this being a “cake-in-a-mug” format. I honestly don’t think this has potential. I believe this will be quickly abandoned, then brought up in a decade or two only to be abandoned once again.
Agreed. I think I’m noticing a trend with dessert in a mug. I noticed that Duncan Hines slowed down with the mug mix line.
he’s referring to how mcgriddles have “syrup crystals” in them
These might not take off but I will say I am interested to see if syrup chips will someday be found in a bag along side the other baking chips. I can think of several recipes I would try them in!
If syrup chips are crunchy little guys like Heath chips, and not syrup flavored fake whites chocolate oily guys, then we light be on to something!
These are not nearly as good as Kodiak IMHO
