I rarely order from Papa Johns, but weirdly enough I did yesterday and ordered these jalapeno poppers. They really are just jalapenos, cream cheese and pizza dough so no surprises there. I think they’d benefit greatly if the crust had some sort of garlic butter sauce brushed on it…they came out pretty dry so we had to heavily dunk them in ranch. Overall we thought they were okay, we ate them all but I doubt we’d order them again.
I agree with natalie. Was excited to try them because I love jalepeno peppers but these did not impress me at all. As I think they need like garlic butter and parmesan cheese to the crust or something like that. I dont think I would buy again.
Are the jalapenos pickled? If so, then I’d have to pass on this one. However if they are fresh cut peppers, then it might be good. Also depends on how thick the dough is, but they should absolutely douse it in butter and Parmesan / Garlic seasoning too.
Wonder if they’d let us do ham instead of jalapeños. I could see those being good
