I’ve never seen a taco that uses teriyaki sauce. I’ve never seen a Japanese-inspired taco. Does it exist? Oh no, my foodie cred is going to be lower than it already is. (Spotted by Leonard G at Shoprite.)

Looks like they are going for world fusion concept. But I think that they need to change tortillas to add more exciting flavor. Ginger lime tortillas would be interesting or honey soy tortillas.
The Old El Paso Caribbean Inspired Jerk World Taco Kit does seems like the best of the bunch.
You can turn like anything into a taco.
The Yaki Tacos at Islands were one of my five favorite foods as a teenager, until I realized I could make them better at home – which meant more teriyaki sauce.
Surprised they didn’t do a spaghetti taco to make an italian iteration.
lol, Marvo…the concept has been around a while now…both in food trucks and Brick&Mortars. No shame though. 🙂
The Japanese and Korean editions sound terrible.
I actually just made the Japanese teriyaki last night and it wasn’t half bad.
What toppings are you supposed to put on these? At first I thought the Japanese one was poke but then I realize they all look the same. It kinda looks like salsa and that’s just all sorts of wrong.
If I had them (most likely won’t) I would just make a simple asian slaw.
Whoa, Islands. Loved that place. Only two left in the greater PHX area. I’ll have to revisit one for the fish tacos. The fries are fantastic.
I found mine in Aldi… And my kids are super excited!
