I guess once Smartfood released its Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnut Popcorn, which came out in April and is still available, it had to stick with spelling doughnut the way it does. (Spotted by @goldenfvce at Walmart.)

That’s the proper way to spell doughnut! The lazy, wholly-incorrect version has always exasperated this strict grammarian.
Lol, that was exactly my thought when I saw that they spelt it correctly!
What pretentiousness!
Not at all; simply respecting language and grammar.
Such defensive pretentiousness.

🙂
It’s American English and a simplification of the original and proper spelling. 🙂
oooh, smartfood – do coconut crunch donuts next!
have to agree- a coconut crunch popcorn would be so good!
Is this any different than last years’s cinnamon sugar popcorn, other than the name?
I don’t think so, it reminds me of the caramel and cinnamon apple they did, but just the cinnamon. Not even any doughnuttiness, I was hoping maybe they’d have had some glazed popcorn in it, or done a mix with the KK Glazed doughnut popcorn.
I’m still enjoying it, have demolished half the bag in a day.
I hope they bring back the caramel and cinnamon apple!! It’s dangerously delicious.
Thanks. That’s disappointing to hear. I’m tired of companies giving food products these very descriptive names for what is actually just a one-note flavor.
@Holly May: “It’s American English and a simplification of the original and proper spelling. ?” And so “theatre” and “colour” are the “proper” spellings for those words as well, I guess? 😉
Has anyone found this popcorn at somewhere other than Wal-Mart? I live in central Texas, and I have yet to see it at HEB or Target. I even went to a Dollar General, and that search yielded nothing as well.
I found this popcorn once fell in love and have been looking ever since Walmart never has them are they done selling them?
