“No heat” jalapeño slices? That is the N/A beer of pickled condiments.
Right? I was stumped by that one, as well. I’m not even sure how that’s possible, in all honesty. I guess it must be, but…
No heat jalapeños make me more annoyed than I’d like to admit. Why??
You can soak hot peppers in a solution to remove the capsaicin.
lol!
I too came here to bitch about the heatless/pointless “jalapenõs”…
Jalapeños without heat? Blasphemy!
It’s probably for people that have stomach issues but also love the taste of jalapenos. I know you all are terribly offended that a product not for you exists but just don’t eat it and move on with your day :).
Perhaps not offended as you are about people voicing their opinions just as we all do here. 🙂
Or they can also be for people who cannot tolerate spicy foods just because they’re too spicy for them, even jalapeños. My mom is like that.
You can grow Jalapenos with no heat, they’re called NADAPEÑO PEPPERS.
There are also heatless habaneros called “HABANADA”
Seeds are available at Baker Creek seeds
That’s actually a neat idea. I love the flavor of peppers in my chilaquiles, but not always the heat. Flavor first.
