UPDATE: As folks in the comments (and others via email) have pointed out, this flavor is popping up elsewhere. I guess I shouldn’t trust “other sources.” This one debuts as a Sam’s Club exclusive, but I’ve read from some sources that it’ll be available from other retailers later in the year. Unless, they are disliked as much as Doritos Twisted Southwest Ranch, which was also a Sam’s Club Exclusive. (Spotted by Robbie at Sam’s Club.)

We have them at my Fry’s (Kroger) in Arizona, but I did not try them.
I like the black/dark grey color but don’t really associate it with BBQ, even if this were peppery/spicy as opposed to sweet and tangy. It does stand out more than yet another orange-ish/reddish would, so I understand it from that perspective.
Maybe the black/dark gray is meant to be charcoal or a BBQ grill?
Their potato-y brethren over at Lay’s use the same black/dark gray color for their BBQ chips, so it’s not all that unusual to me.
I’m excited to try these, but I still wish they’d bring back Smokin’ Cheddar BBQ and Black Pepper Jack.
Taste the same as the bbq doritos they brought out in 2011 for madden 11.
Just walked by them here at a CircleK front rack.
These are very good
I got a bag at a Mobil On-The-Run! I thought they were good. They have a bit of heat to them, a slightly spicy aftertaste. I can’t believe no one’s ever thought to do barbecue Doritos before.
