BACK ON SHELVES: Goldfish Old Bay Seasoned Crackers (2023)

Welcome back, Old Bay-flavored Goldfish! It’s not surprising to see you back. After all, I hear Old Bay goes great with fish. Here’s our review from a year ago. (Spotted by Tommy at Market Basket.)

If you’re out shopping and see new products, snap a picture of them, and send them in via an email (theimpulsivebuy@gmail.com) with where you found them and “Spotted” in the subject line. Also, if you want to send in photos and are wondering if we’ve already covered something or if they’re new, don’t worry about it. Let us worry about it.

  1. Saw these at Safeway, as well. Reminder: these are a great addition to clam chowder!

  2. I have no,idea what old bay is supposed to taste like or why people are crazy about it. Maybe you need to be a coastal person and I am right in the middle of the country?

    1. I’m in the middle of the country, too…but discovered the Utz “The Crab Chip” potato chips with Old Bay seasoning, when I went out to Annapolis, MD, for my sister’s wedding, many years ago. I have been a HUGE fan, ever since. They now seem to periodically be sold at the major grocery stores, in my area, fortunately. I also have a tin of the actual seasoning, which I ordered online.

    2. Forgot/meant to add: I’m hoping to finally find the Goldfish version, this year. I was never able to procure a package, last year.

  3. I’m a Marylander and love my Crabs, Tomatoes & Corn! I actually put Old Bay Seasoning on just about everything (vegetables, all seafood, soups, dips, salads, homemade bread, etc.!!!) So imagine my excitement when I saw that Pepperidge Farm was adding an Old Bay Seasoning Goldfish to the various flavors of Goldfish! The problem is that NOW, I can’t find them anywhere. I believe that based on the fact that I can’t find them anywhere now as well as the Price Gouging on-line ($13.00 per 6.6 Oz bag, $52.00 for 6 bags!!!) should be enough proof that this flavor should be changed from a Special Edition flavor to a regularly sold item year round! I’ve tried my friends as well as my family who live in California, Delaware, Florida, Tennessee, & Washington but to no avail. So, I am now going straight to the Manufacturer to see if you guys still have some available???
