SPOTTED: Wendy’s No Beans Chili

Wendy's No Beans Chili.

Can I get bean-less chili at Wendy’s? (Spotted by Kelly at Redner’s.)

If you’re out shopping and see new products, snap a picture of them, and send them in via an email (theimpulsivebuy@gmail.com) with where you found them and “Spotted” in the subject line. Also, if you want to send in photos and are wondering if we’ve already covered something or if they’re new, don’t worry about it. Let us worry about it.

  1. I also “spotted” this in my Safeway last week. I’d give it try, but one of the things I really like about Wendy’s Chili whether from the restaurant or in canned form is the kidney beans. They are somewhat unique to most chilis and distinguish it from other chilis with beans.

I’ll have to compare the ingredients list to see if ground beef replaced the beans or if it was a combination of other things.

    1. Yup, just as I thought. Beans replacement was likely beef.

Total went from 12g in the w/ beans to 15g in the w/ no beans. Saturated fat 5g to 7g. Cholesterol 65mg to 85mg. Sodium largely unchanged. Cargb down from 27g to 15g. Fiber down 7g to 2g. Sugar up slightly. Protein 17g up to 20g.

Maybe a little more tomato sauce was added with the beef.
