UNSCIENTIFIC POLL: How Many Fast Food Points Do You Currently Have?

I recently wasted two free Taco Bell rewards AGAIN. It was the third time it had happened.

While I’m careless with my Taco Bell points, that’s not the case with my McDonald’s and Jack in the Box rewards, which I redeem regularly, mostly on iced coffee from the former and Jumbo Jacks from the latter.

But besides McDonald’s, I’m not very good at keeping track of all the reward points I have from the fast food chains I visit. So, I did a fast food point audit to determine if I was missing out on free food. Here’s what I found as of April 4, 2025:

Restaurant Points Can I Get Free Food?
Burger King 332 crowns Yes
Dairy Queen 65 points No
Dunkin’ 50 points No
Jack in the Box 15 points No
KFC 188 points No
McDonald’s 2277 points Yes
Panda Express 728 points Yes
Papa Johns $4 Papa Dough Discount, so kinda
Pizza Hut 320 points Yes
Popeyes 748 points Yes
Starbucks 21 stars No
Subway 63 points No
Wendy’s 411 points Yes

Are you as bad as me when it comes to redeeming rewards points? How many fast food rewards points to you have? Share your numbers in the comments below.

  1. I can get something free at most of them.

    BK – 382 crowns
    Chick-fil-a – 591 points
    Chipotle – 801 points
    Costa Vida – 77 points
    Cousin’s Lobster – 1,720 points
    Freddy’s – $10 reward
    Hardee’s – 244 points
Jersey Mike’s – 42 shore points (one of my favorites to redeem)
    McAlister’s – 730 points
    McD – 20,417 points
Popeye’s – 532 points (they have fried pickles coming soon?!?!)
    SBUX – 120 stars
Taco Bell – nothing, they always expire
    Tacos 4 Life – 436 points
    Wendy’s – 1,057 points

  2. Do regular, non-reviewers eat that much fast food, I wonder?

Zero judgement (I’m actually envious,) it’s just too expensive, post-COVID.

I think the last fast food item I tried was the Detroit Style Pizza, at Pizza Hut.

Thankfully, I get my fill vicariously through your blog, and other reviews.

  3. I pretty much just use the Chick Fil A app and I have 156 points (2,436 so far this year, but I use them immediately). I redeem it every other time or so for a free Ice Dream because they have the best ice cream ever.

I have the Starbucks app, but I don’t ever go because their drinks are overpriced and the stars always expire before I use them. They also stopped giving star incentives, so that makes me want to go there less.

  4. What about Domino’s? I have 60 points which is enough for a free pizza.

553 BK because I just used 1000 pts..
    7019 McDonald’s
1232 Taco Bell (4 free items, plus 232 out of 250 for my next free item)

  5. McDonalds 3819 Points
    Wendy’s 551 Points
    Burger King 128 Points
    Cava 527 Points
    Chik Fil A 706 Points
City BBQ 33 more Points until 5$ Reward
    Dunkin 246 Points
    Freddy’s 233 Points
    Firehouse Subs 600 Points
    Jersey Mike’s 34 Points
    KFC 170 Points
    Marco’s Pizza 63 Points
    Moe’s 4 Points
    Salasarita 134 Points
    Sheetz 891 Points
    Starbucks 12 Points
    Papa John’s 1 Point
    Taco Bell 7 Points

  6. I’m a point hoarder and I’m the one in my workplace that puts in the group orders so my point accumulation is skewed than normal folks:

    Chick-fil-A – 14,027 (Meal -2,500)
    Dunkin’ – 391 (Classic donut – 250)
    Domino’s – 60 (medium 2 topping – 60)
    Freddy’s – 610 (regular concrete – 600)
    McDonald’s – 10,844 (Happy Meal – 6000)
    Pizza Hut – 210 (medium 2 topping – 200)
    Starbucks – 185 (hot coffee/tea or bakery item -100)
    Taco Bell – 54 pts.
    Wendy’s -935 (Baconator – 800)

I do hate forgetting when points expire/when the last time I ate at a restaurant. At one point I had accumulated 400 pts at Pizza Hut and then remembered 8 months later that all points disappeared.

And TBH Taco Bell needs to revamp their rewards program. Same with Papa John’s.

  7. I so rarely eat fast food, I have no idea how many I have and they’re likely all expired anyway.

I love reading about fast food, I’m just also trying to lose weight so I have to resist getting it.

No judgement on people who eat it more often! Go enjoy it for both of us!

  8. I’ve been making an effort to use up points as soon as I can. Once you have enough to redeem for the item you want, just do it! Hoarding makes it more likely you’ll forget, the points will expire, and/or the company will devalue them.

    Burger King: 1,474
    Chick-Fil-A: 1,723
    Chipotle: 373
    Dunkin: 396
    Jersey Mikes: 255
    McDonald’s: 7,607
    Panda Express: 948
Papa Johns: 14 points, $8 dough
    Starbucks: 428
    Taco Bell: 226
    Wendys: 200

I didn’t even know there was such a thing as reward points at any of those places. Of course, I think I may have had breakfast once at MCD in the past year and not been to any of the other places, so that is probably why I am unaware of such things!

  10. I rarely miss my rewards. While I’m not hitting McDonalds right now, i will not let my points expire. Wendy’s near me are trash, so I’ve used my points and haven’t been back in awhile. I actually make a list when all my birthday rewards roll in and put alarms on my phone so I don’t miss a thing. Anytime I earn free food, phone alarms are set.
