Here are some interesting new and limited edition products found on store shelves by us and your fellow readers. If you’ve tried any of the products, share your thoughts about them in the comments.
Is this really available only at Target? The last “Only at Target” yogurt I posted was also available at Walmart. (Spotted by Ayumi at Target.)
This Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Smoked Turkey Breast was not spotted at an Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. (Spotted by Ayumi at Meijer.)
This Krusteaz Chocolate Swirl Crumb Cake & Muffin Mix looks like it could be tasty. Too bad I’m too lazy to make it. (Spotted by Sylvia at Walmart.)
Breakstone’s was established in 1882 and 2013 is the first time I’ve ever heard of them. (Spotted by Kelcey at Fresh Grocer.)
Hey Canadians! Here are a couple of limited edition products in your neck of the woods. Kellogg’s Cinnamon Jacks, which the U.S. already has, and a soda that…holy crap looks awesome! The Daily Yum has a review of the soda. (Spotted by A.C. at Walmart in Canada and Eric in Canada.)
Thank you to all the photo contributors! Breakstone’s is one of those regional dairy brands now owned by Kraft (like Knudsen’s in California). I’ve seen the name in the dairy case of a local ‘Discount Grocery Warehouse’ where it was notably cheaper than the Knudsen products in the chain stores. In this case, they may be putting all the “Greek Sour Cream” under that label rather than multiple regional labels. Or it may just be Kraft doing something that makes no sense (wouldn’t be the first time).
Breakstones must be a regional thing but around here (new england) it’s THE sour cream and THE cottage cheese, the ones that’re in every grocery store, gas station, etc.
I’ve had the Yoplait 100-calorie Greek Strawberry Cheesecake Bliss yogurt and loved it! It was only available in Target, but last week, Yoplait announced it as one of it’s new flavors that are going to be available in stores everywhere, including an Apple Pie flavor, so I’m thinking it was first introduced in limited release in Target to see how it did and now it’s being sold elsewhere.
But the “only at Target” lid is a Target exclusive!
The “CB Old County Store” brand also has bacon and spiral ssliced ham. It is in fact associated with Cracker Barrel restauant, but since there’s already a Cracker Barrel brand in stores I guess they had to change the name and logo.
The ladies who work at Cracker Barrel remind me of the ones who staffed my elementary school cafeteria, always get nostalgic in there.
Canadian Cinnamon Jacks: A great source of fibe-ray.
Haven’t you heard their theme song? Breakstones, meet the Breakstones, they’re the modern stone age creamery…”
lol
I should’ve done more research on the caramel macchiato flavor I sent earlier. I am sorry, I didnt know they had it at walmart:-( well, that give me another excuse to shop around!
Don’t worry about it. I didn’t know either.
