Do you remember when ALL frozen pizzas were super convenient? You’d just take them out of their packaging and shove them in the oven. Well, thanks to DiGiorno’s Design a Pizza Kits, it’s no longer ALL frozen pizzas. This new line, which makes you top your own pizza, has three varieties: Pepperoni and Sausage with Peppers & Onions; Spinach, Tomato & Red Onion with Pepperoni; and Chicken, Green Peppers & Red Onions with Pepperoni. (Spotted by Michael at Schnucks.)

  1. Was Michael being chased by the Schnucks cops when he snapped those pics?! I currently live in the Schnucks area [against my better judgement] so I might have to check these out just for fun.

  2. You mean to tell me frozen pizzas weren’t already design-your-own? I’ve even had to place the toppings on a cheese pizza every now and then. But this seems more fun.

  3. It’s an honest approach cause usually you do have to move the toppings around on a frozen pizza, so you try to do it while it is still wrapped in the plastic and everything is still frozen together, nudging the pieces of chicken or pepperoni here or there.

What I hate the most is the three overlapping pepperonis when the other side of the pizza is pretty much bare of pepperonis. Then the frozen pepperonis break in pieces and you have to move the pieces around.

This way you can thaw the toppings out beforehand to ensure optimum pepperoni placement.
