Taco Bell has added chicken taquitos to their menu, but they’re not calling them chicken taquitos. Instead, they’ve been given the literal name of Rolled Chicken Tacos.
These crispy tacos are filled with marinated white meat chicken and come with your choice from five dipping sauces: Nacho Cheese, Guacamole, Salsa, Reduced-Fat Sour Cream, or Taco Bell’s new Spicy Ranch. The Rolled Chicken Tacos are available in a 2-, 4-, or 12-pack.

I picked up an order last night after a LONG wait in the drive thru line. First off there is a surprisingly nice crispy coating on the corn tortilla, however, the whole thing, meat included was (purposefully?) under-seasoned. The sauces are a much needed compliment and the unexpectedly well balanced Spicy Ranch sauce seems purpose-built for the cause. I tried the runny mild salsa as well… Meh.
Overall, Taco Bell has made some pretty decent (albeit bland) Fried Chicken Taquitos. For some reason, however, they’ve demanded that you call them Rolled Chicken Tacos and that you TAKE SOME DAMN SAUCES!
6.5 out of 10.
This are great! I went to get some yesterday and was told they don’t have them anymore. I couldn’t believe it! Bring back the chicken rolled tacos please!!!
I loved these also.. I drove all the way across town to get a few orders because everywhere I went the Taco Bells were out of them.. So I got on my phone and started calling around to see who had them.. I finally found a Taco Bell who still had a few left.. I ordered them and went and picked them up and haven’t been able to get them ever since.. This was the Fall of 2016 in Massachusetts.. The Spicy Ranch dressing was to die for… It went extremely well with the chicken roll ups.. I brought some home for my husband to try and he loved them and wouldn’t you know we went up to buy some at the Taco Bell by our home and they said they weren’t carrying them anymore due to they were a seasonal deal… I was driving to Taco Bell every other day to buy these I loved them so much.. PLEASE bring them back..
Just tried these new Rolled Tacos yesterday. Lucky, since we tend to get chain products a bit later here in Santa Barbara. Pretty good, and definitely a step above grocery store frozen taquitos. They look hand rolled and fresh fried. The filling is soft, but does have some stringiness to the chicken, along with those nice crispy fried ends. Corn tortilla is nice and crisp throughout. The new spicy Ranch is pretty thick, and honestly sort of tasted like a sun-dried tomato cream sauce more than what they were trying for. The other four dips are standard Taco Bell toppings, which are all good. I’d get them again, and four was a nice meal with a Starburst Strawberry Freeze and a side salad.
Yea they do taste fresh, but for me they were a little too corn tortilla-y tasting . I like the tornados at speedway more
Had them today VIA the new Taco Bell android app. App purchase went good and everything worked. Got 4 chicken tacos with 2 salsa. They are “fresh” tasting, corn tortillas were very corn tortilla tasting, were crispy but gave a little, not crunchy and the chicken was very chickeny, meaning neither were season much or well but tasted good. They gave me small clear containers for the salsa, which wasn’t much but went good with them; Would have liked the bigger black cups used for nacho cheese sauce for the salsa. Would buy again, 2 is good for a quick, cheap snack and 4 is a nice lunch meal.
I have tried these only because i got some for my husband and he insisted that I try them (never been a toquito fan) and I must say, their actually fairly good. Crispy and flavorful on the outside, and juicy tender chicken with sauce. Wow. It took my tastebuds for a spin.
We secretly replaced the “chicken meat” with chicken catfoood and nine out of ten prefer the new kitty snacks over the “psedo taquitos.”
