On December 17, Carl’s Jr. locations will be offering the All-Natural Burger that features an all-natural, grass-fed, free-range beef patty with no added hormones, antibiotics, or steroids. With the introduction of this new patty, Carl’s Jr. will be the first major fast food chain to offer an all-natural beef patty. Although, they won’t be available until the 17th, so it would be funny if one of the other major fast food chains snuck an all-natural beef patty onto their menu on December 16.
Along with the all-natural beef patty, the All-Natural Burger is also made up of a slice of natural cheddar cheese, vine-ripened tomatoes, lettuce, red onions, bread-and-butter pickles, ketchup, mustard, and mayo on Carl’s Jr.’s Fresh Baked Bun.
A single patty All-Natural Burger will be available for $4.69 and a double will go for $6.99 at participating locations. Carl’s Jr. customers can also substitute the patty on any burger on the menu with the all-natural patty for an additional charge.
If you get a chance to try it, let us know what you think of it in the comments.

Will Hardees be offering this too. Since they’re the same exact restaurant.
Not right now. According to Grub Grade, they’re just testing the burger at select Hardee’s locations.
They’re not the same restaurant; they’re sister restaurants that share a parent company. There are several menu variations between the two.
Yep, sadly Hardees doesnt have the Super Star burger which I miss!
If I’m eating at Carl’s Jr. I might as well have the unnatural burger I didn’t go there for health food.
I wonder if it is organic too.
I know this is a junk food blog so this advice might be out of place. Eating hamburgers wrapped in lettuce is waaaaaaaaaaaaay more healthy than eating one with a bun. Admittedly it is an acquired taste. I now prefer it over eating a hamburger on a bun. When eating fries with a hamburger there are plenty of carbohydrates in the meal. When I eat a hamburger without a bun I can put down a half pound hamburger and large fries and I am still hungry. This leaves room for a carb packed dessert.
The burger sounds really good but at the price of the double price I could go to my local burger joint (& get their double) or one of several restaurants and get a better (single patty) non fast food burger!
I get very sick from beef treated with hormones and antibiotics. I have tried this beef twice with excellent results. I did not feel ill at all. Thanks Carl!
As with Matt, I’m sensitive to artificial ingredients. Just had a single all natural burger ‘protein style’ (no bun). It had a superior (cleaner) taste to In n Out which I I used to eat often but now avoid.
The char broiling is good in terms of not requiring a ubiquitous vegetable-based cooking oil but charred meat does have its own added health risks. Wouldn’t suggest living off it but it had good flavor. The sweet pickles were a crunchy contrast, too. This will become my go-to for healthier fast food.
I liked the burger until I tasted something sweet. It was a bread and butter pickle. They switched from dill pickles to this sweet type. All other burgers have dill. I get it. Who cares? But I am curious about this choice.
A sweet pickle belongs nowhere near a burger, natural patty or otherwise!
Sweet pickles are for Holidays, not fast food burgers!
We had the all natural burger today, I purchased 2, and it tasted really bad, we ended up trashing both of our burgers, I saved part of mine in case we get ill, it was that bad!
My brother and I both had the low carb natural grass fed beef burgers last week. They were wonderful. Glad to know there is one place place we can get a burger without having to just toss the bun and eat it with a fork. Now its the only place I buy burgers at a restaurant until more places give the grass fed and low carb versions I am stuck on Carl’s Jr.
Just tried it. They put so much smoke flavoring in and the Patty is so tiny it’s terrible. I was really disappointed. I love one hundred percent grass-fed beef and this did not taste like that. There was so much fake flavoring in it I could hardly taste the meat.
